Jill Trubshawe

The structure and feeling of particular landscapes are Jill’s main concern in her pictures. She trained at Camberwell Art School in 1946/7 and at Byam Shaw School of Art 1962/5 (NDD). In between she took a history degree and worked in scientific book publishing. She has also studied various crafts and history of art. With her husband she set up and ran a fabric-printing workshop in the Caribbean island of St Vincent.  Paintings by Jill have been exhibited at the Royal Academy and Mall Galleries. Since moving to Portsmouth her work has been selected for Open Exhibitions in Portsmouth Museum and Southampton City Art Gallery.
