Portsmouth & Hampshire Art Society are delighted to be supporting Hampshire Open Studios for the first time in 2024.

Also referred to as ‘HOS’, this annual art trail is much anticipated by artists and the visiting public alike. It is an opportunity for amateur and professional artists that make up our society members to present their work to those interested in their work.
We are a forward looking society and so it is important to us that we embrace every aspect of life from Portsmouth & Hampshire in our work.
We welcome you to visit us during Open Studios which also coincides with our annual Summer Exhibition at Portsmouth Cathedral.

This year, our Annual Exhibition will run alongside our support and involvement of the Open Studio’s week at Portsmouth Cathedral in Old Portsmouth.
It is an exciting time for our society when we have a growing membership of people looking to incorporate the joys of creativity into their lives.
We have a series of events running throughout this week so we welcome you to visit and to get involved with us.
Entrance to the exhibition and cathedral is FREE so we welcome you to come and take a look at our paintings, drawings, sculpture and mixed media work

As well as visiting our exhibition at the historic Portsmouth Cathedral, some of our artists will be holding talks, demonstrations and sketch workshops across the week.

A key aim of our society is to showcase the work of our members and communicate the benefit of creativity to those living in Portsmouth and the surrounding towns and villages across Hampshire.
Our members create artworks in a diverse range of styles, using a variety of techniques. We have highly accomplished oil and watercolour painters in our society as well as sculptors and mixed media artists. We want to embrace all that is creative from every part of the community.
